Basic Curry

At the most basic, Granny’s Curry Powder has a complexity of flavours that all you need to add is salt, oil and water and heat.
600 grams of meat or Okra, Cauliflower, or Potatoes (or a combination of both)
1 Sachet of Granny’s Curry Powder
3 tablespoon of Vegetable Oil
1 teaspoon of Salt
Vegetables ONLY

- Mix 100ml of Water with a sachet of Granny’s Curry Powder to form a paste and fry in over a medium heat, until the oil starts to separate from the curry.
- Cover with water and return to a high flame and bring to a boil and reduce to light simmer for about 20 minutes.
- When oil starts to form at the top. Add the vegetables and simmer till soft.
Serve
Meat ONLY

- Mix 100ml of Water with a sachet of Granny’s Curry Powder to form a paste and fry in over a medium heat, until the oil starts to separate from the curry.
- Add the Meat and stir in the curry.
- Cover with water and return to a high flame and bring to a boil and reduce to light simmer, the meat should give to the touch of a fork.

Meat and Vegetables

- Mix 100ml of Water with a sachet of Granny’s Curry Powder to form a paste and fry in over a medium heat, until the oil starts to separate from the curry.
- Add the Meat and stir in the curry.
- Cover with water and return to a high flame and bring to a boil and reduce to light simmer.
- When the meat is almost ready and oil starts to form at the top. Add the vegetables and simmer till soft.
